How do I review and remove an artist from my agency?

Find the current removal option and review its effect on artist bookings, invoices and contracts before confirming.

Written by Tobias

Before removing an artist from your agency, review the confirmation carefully and agree what should happen to their booking records.

What the removal warning means

The current removal dialog warns that data belonging to the artist, including bookings, invoices and contracts, will also be removed. Treat this as a consequential data-removal action. If you need to retain records or hand work over to another person or agency, discuss the required access and retention with Optune support before confirming.

Do not assume that re-adding an artist restores previous records, or that a connected artist account will keep every record. The effect on a particular collaboration should be checked before removal.

Find the removal option

  1. Open Artists in your agency workspace and select the correct artist. In German: Künstler.

  2. Open the gear icon in the artist profile to view profile settings. The German dialog is Profileinstellungen ändern.

  3. Scroll to the danger zone, labelled Gefahrenzone in German, and choose the option to remove that artist from the agency.

  4. Read the displayed warning and check the artist name. If removal is intended and the records have been reviewed, the dialog asks you to type the artist’s name again before the final removal action becomes available.

  5. Use Cancel (Abbrechen) if you are unsure. Contact support before continuing if you need help preserving or handing over information.

Removing an artist is different from changing access

If you only need to change what a teammate can see or edit, review the relevant team access instead. Removing an entire artist is not a routine way to change one person’s permissions.

Current confirmation in the German app

This example uses a fictional test profile. Read the confirmation shown for your own artist before taking action.
