How do agents check document language and regional formats?

Choose language and regional preferences separately, then check the actual contract or invoice output.

Written by Tobias

A document's language and regional-format preference can be selected separately in Change layout. Check them on the document you are preparing rather than inferring the final output from your personal app settings.

This guide is for booking agents with permission to edit the relevant document. A contract, invoice and template each need their own output check.

Keep the settings separate

Setting or content

What to review

Your app language

The interface you use in your account.

Document language

The selected language for the document's standard labels.

Date and number format

The selected regional preference for the document. Inspect the actual dates, times and figures in its output.

Your own wording

Text written in a template or document. Review it separately from standard labels.

Check the document you intend to use

  1. Open the document you are permitted to edit and confirm the booking.

  2. In the editor's three-dot menu, open Change layout.

  3. Review the document language and Date and number format separately.

  4. Apply and save any intended changes, then reopen the document to check the saved settings.

  5. Open the preview and the complete downloaded PDF. Compare its labels, dates, times, amounts and currency with the intended agreement.

Check figures individually. A regional preference is not an exchange-rate instruction, and a date appearing correctly does not establish that every number or document field is formatted as intended. Do not change the agreed amount to compensate for a display issue.

What about templates?

Document templates have their own layout settings. If you reuse a template, check its selected language and regional preference, then review a filled document created from it. An empty template has no booking context for every field. Keep a useful original template before changing its design, and do not assume a template change updates an existing document.

Why is some text still in another language?

Identify whether the text is a standard label, a saved booking value or wording entered by your team. Review your own text in the language intended for the reader. If a standard label or formatted value is wrong, report the document link, selected settings, expected result and a cropped screenshot to support.

Check the whole final file before sharing or sending. Keep private documents and financial examples in the agreed support channel. If you cannot access or edit the document, ask the person responsible for it; changing your account language does not grant document access.

Example: the same contract date and time

A contract containing a show date of 28 November 2026 and a show time of 22:00 can display those values differently with a regional preference: the Netherlands format gives 28-11-2026 and 22:00; the US format gives 11/28/2026 and 10:00 PM. Review the actual fields in your own document. This example does not establish how every amount, invoice or template will be formatted.
